About this tour
The route starts in Cairo and runs south along the Nile to Luxor and Aswan. Three nights are spent aboard: a temple in the morning, the deck for the rest of the day. November to March has the best weather.

Day by day
Airport pickup, check-in and an evening walk along the Nile corniche.
The three pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the solar boat museum. The Egyptian Museum and Tutankhamun's treasure in the afternoon.
Morning flight to Luxor. The Karnak temple complex and the Luxor temple lit up after dark.
The West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Board the boat after lunch.
The temple of Horus at Edfu in the morning, Kom Ombo after lunch. The hours between are spent on deck.
A pre-dawn run to Abu Simbel — Ramesses II's temple cut into the cliff. The Aswan dam and the Philae temple on the way back.
Disembark, transfer to Aswan airport and fly home via Cairo.

The Nile cruise was the best part of the trip. A temple in the morning, then the whole day on deck. You could tell the guide was a real Egyptologist — the answers went deep.
